Angélique Noire perfume sample/test/decant is a unisex amber-floral fragrance from Guerlain, part of the L’Art & La Matière collection. Originally created by perfumer Daniela Roche-Andrier and later refined by Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser, it celebrates the power of angelica root, where green bitterness meets creamy vanilla in a play of light and shadow.

• Base: Angelica root, Vanilla, Cedarwood, Ambergris

Angélique Noire opens with a spicy, green and gently bitter freshness from angelica root, lifted by juicy pear and pink pepper with a soft touch of bergamot. The heart introduces a subtle, almost oriental warmth through jasmine and caraway. In the base, bitter root and creamy vanilla are wrapped in cedarwood and a hint of ambergris, creating a smooth and long-lasting trail.

The fragrance feels refined and unmistakably unisex, built on a dramatic contrast between sharp green bitterness and enveloping vanilla – an olfactory tension that is both provocative and elegant.
