Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Scentsation.no! The website is operated as a personal hobby business to share and sell perfume samples. By using the website and making a purchase, you accept these terms. Please refrain from purchasing if you do not accept the terms.
2. Use of the Website
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and agree to use the website lawfully, without infringing on the rights of others.
3. Products
We offer perfume samples. There may be minor deviations in color or volume, and we reserve the right to limit stock and withdraw offers without notice.
4. Prices and Payment
All prices are listed in NOK. Currently, the business is not VAT-registered, but prices always include all necessary fees. Shipping costs are clearly displayed before payment, in accordance with the Right of Withdrawal Act §§ 8 and 21. Payment is made upon ordering via the available payment solutions. Personal payment data is processed securely and in accordance with privacy regulations.
5. Delivery and Shipping
- Domestic (Norway): Posten Parcel Small NOK 76 (insured up to NOK 2,500) or Large NOK 140 (insured up to NOK 10,000). Free shipping for orders over NOK 969 (Posten Small up to NOK 2,500 and Posten Large up to NOK 10,000).
- All packages are shipped with tracking via Posten. Tracking is provided via email and the Posten app.
- Orders are normally shipped within 1–5 business days after ordering. We bear the risk until delivery to you, in accordance with the Consumer Purchases Act § 27.
- In case of damage or loss, contact us with the tracking number for replacement or refund. Insurance claims may take over 90 days and require the customer's cooperation with Posten.
- International: All international shipping is tracked via Posten. After dispatch, responsibility is transferred to the recipient country's postal service. International shipments are not insured, and we are not responsible for any damage or loss after the package has left Norway.
- The customer is responsible for all customs and import duties, which are not included in the shipping price.
- International orders cannot be returned/refunded once a tracking number is provided, except for EU/EEA orders with right of withdrawal (14 days) for unopened samples. Hygiene exemptions apply.
6. Right of Withdrawal, Returns, and Complaints
6.1 Right of Withdrawal (14 days)
- You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days after receiving the item, according to the Right of Withdrawal Act §§ 20–21. The deadline starts the day after receipt.
- To use the right of withdrawal, you must send a message (e.g. email) within the deadline and return the item(s) no later than 14 days after notification. The customer covers return postage.
- You may use the standard withdrawal form, but it is not mandatory.
- The right of withdrawal only applies to unopened and sealed samples. Opened or used samples cannot be returned for hygiene reasons (Right of Withdrawal Act § 22g).
- Personally customized items (e.g. specially made decants or blends) are not covered by the right of withdrawal.
6.2 Returns and Refunds
- Items must be returned properly packaged. We refund the full amount including reasonable standard shipping within 14 days after receipt and inspection of the return. The refund is made to the same payment method used for the purchase.
6.3 Cancellation Before Dispatch
- You may cancel your order free of charge until we have sent the tracking number. Contact us as soon as possible and provide the order number. After dispatch, the right of withdrawal applies.
6.4 Damage or Loss During Shipping
- We bear the risk until delivery. In case of damage or loss, contact us immediately with the tracking number for a solution or refund. Posten’s shipping insurance applies in addition to our rules.
6.5 Complaints (2 years)
- In case of faults, damage, or defects, you may file a complaint within 2 years of receipt (Consumer Purchases Act § 27).
- The complaint must be sent within a reasonable time after you discovered the issue, at the latest two months afterwards. Contact us with a description and photo of the issue. We offer repair, replacement, price reduction, or cancellation in accordance with applicable regulations.
6.6 International Orders
- The customer also has a right of withdrawal for EU/EEA orders. For countries outside the EU/EEA, local regulations may apply. Import duties/taxes are covered by the customer.
7. Free Sample
With a purchase of at least 20 ml, you will receive one free sample, while stocks last. The offer may be changed or ended without notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect losses resulting from the use of the website or products. Our liability is limited to direct financial loss within reasonable limits.
9. Privacy and Security
Scentsation.no only processes necessary personal data and uses essential cookies for functionality. No data is shared with third parties unless required for delivery or by law. For details, see our privacy policy.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms. Changes take effect upon publication on the website. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or banner.
11. Complaints
If a dispute arises, you may contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority or use the EU’s online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/odr

Note: Scentsation is run as a hobby business with limited scope. We comply with applicable consumer purchase and withdrawal rules, but are currently not VAT registered.
